Lakshya spreads Christmas cheer among widows in Vrindavan

December 22, Delhi NCR: 2020 has been a difficult year in every way. With severe cold wave setting in, in North India, hardly any devotees visiting Vrindavan due to Covid, and donations drying up, the widows of Vrindavan have been struggling to get by.

Lakshya- India’s No.1 game art creation company, with the support of Giggles Welfare Organisation has initiated blanket donation drive and distributed more than 500 blankets to the elderly widows in Vrindavan, who have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic and its economic consequences and are bracing for the harsh winter ahead.

Selected members of Lakshya visited Ma Dham & Mahila Ashray Sadan at Vrindavan, to donated blankets to the widows under the leadership of Manvendra Shukul– CEO, Lakshya.

Manvendra Shukul said that “These women are all leading simple, spiritual lives, largely isolated from the mainstream. They need our support, especially in the harsh cold conditions, since they don’t have the comfort of a warm home like many of us. We wanted to do our part to provide warmth and solace for those who need our help this winter. We will be looking to expand this initiative in the coming year”

Lakshya, as part of their CSR activity Winter Relief Programme ‘Making a Difference – one step at a time’, teamed up with ‘Giggles Welfare Organisation’ to support Ma Dham Vrindavan (a home for widows and destitute that aims to make them self-reliant) and Mahila Ashray Sadan, (a house for approx. 400 destitute, widowed women abandoned by their families).

Lakshya team followed all Covid-related hygiene practices during the distribution and interaction with people at Vrindavan.
